New Fire & Emergency HQ and Training Centre, City of Welland

The new Headquarters and Training Center for the City of Welland Fire Service is approximately 25,000 ft2 – 28,000 ft2 in size and shall feature a main lobby, training facility and classrooms, administrative, fire prevention and training offices, fire drive-thru service bays, and storage areas.

The Pratus team were responsible for providing Net-Zero Design Assist Energy Modelling in accordance with the CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Program and net-zero carbon (NZC) and net-zero energy (NZE) total energy use intensity (TEUI), thermal energy demand intensity (TEDI), and greenhouse gas intensity (GHGI) targets. This project successfully received Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) funding.
